The Saints continue their search for a win this season after a tough start to the 2025 season.

Helping motivate them in Saturday’s clash are their recent four-quarter efforts, where they finished strongly in their losses to Taylors Lake (91-75) and Laharum (108-30).

They meet a Kalkee side who have also had a challenging start to the year, currently registering a 2-6 win-loss record.

But Kalkee’s wins have come in their most recent games, building momentum in their victories over Rupanyup (106-86) and Natimuk (69-35).

Andy Devereaux, coach of Kalkee, believes the team can continue their winning ways if they replicate their recent form.

“I think if we continue with that same intent we should go a long way to maintaining the winning streak."

While Devereaux is optimistic going into the game, he is cautious of an Edenhope Apsley side playing at home with something to prove.

“Edenhope are always a tough assignment especially when they play at home,” Devereaux said.

“We will need to be ready for them to come out firing.”

A key player to watch will be Kalkee’s Ben Lawson, who kicked seven and three goals, respectively, in the most recent couple of games since returning from injury.
