Eagles take flight before season kicks off
The Eagles travelled to George Gordon Oval in Wentworth, NSW, recently for a practice hit-out against Merbein, a part of the Sunraysia Football Netball League.

Debuting the newest recruits in their colours, Billy Stokes, Mitchell Bright, Nick Lehman, Samuel Callins and Shannon Taylor all got valuable game time for the Eagles, with Lehman in particular a dominant force in the forward fifty.
Coach Kyle George said his side played well at times, had a few players out of position, and were a bit undermanned but all-in-all he was happy with their performance.
He was particularly pleased with the efforts of their recruits.

“We could see they (the Eagles) were trying hard to implement a different game style, one that’s been coached during pre-season,” George said.
The Eagles will kick off their 2026 campaign against Horsham Saints on Saturday, April 11.
