WARRACK Eagles junior netballers will gear up for the upcoming Wimmera netball finals series when the final round of the season is played tomorrow.
The Eagles will play Minyip-Murtoa at Murtoa to round out their season with the 17 & Under and 15 & Under teams set for qualifying final matches.
Last Saturday’s matches against Southern Mallee Giants saw wins to B Grade and the 13 and 15 & Under teams, while the 17 & Under claimed a guaranteed four points with Giants 17 & Under team.
A, B and C Grade teams all suffered defeats with the A Grade unable to replicate its form of the week before going down to the Giants 48-34, while the B Grade were successful in their match to claim a strong 47-32 goal victory.
Tayla Leith and Shelby Appledore led the way for the Eagles with Appledore topping her game with 26 goals, teaming well with Isabella Orszulak who finished with 21 goals.
In C Grade, the Giants ran out 30-20 goal victors with Sophie Evans and Jasmine Tucker teaming well to set up scoring chances.
The 15 & Under, who currently hold down third place and cannot be displaced, maintained their strong form when they dominated its clash to win 45-5.
An 18-1 opening term set the team going with Madison Heller and Mahlie Munro teaming well through the midcourt to set up shooters Lauren Clyne and Amalee Livingston who finished with 28 and 15 goals respectively.
The 13 & Under team claimed their fourth win of the season when they proved too strong to run out 24-5 victors with Eljah Keam and Fergie Kennedy teaming well in the defensive zone to produce strong games and help up shooters Lauren Jenkinson and Ayla Gunn for 15 and nine goals.
