Wimmera people have joined together to celebrate one of the most important events on the Hindu.
Diwali, or the Festival of Lights, symbolises the spiritual victory of good over evil and is a time when people promise to see the good in others and pray for those around them.
Indian-born Horsham resident Minal Gupta said more than 100 people gathered at Horsham Table Tennis Centre in Harriett Street to enjoy a vegetarian meal and entertainment.

Most visitors were from India, Sri Lanka or Nepal and dressed in traditional costumes.
Mrs Gupta said most people wore new clothes, made decorations to hang and waved sparkles.
Laiba Maqvool from the Centre for Participation organised the event with a team of volunteers.
