Our 2023-2024 season continued last weekend with some great games. We thank
all teams for helping out when teams fall short to ensure the season can continue to
run.
The weekend kicked off with Rainbow hosting Arkona on Friday night. The mixed
teams played exceptionally well with Rainbow defeating Arkona 3 sets, 38 games to
Arkona’s 2 sets, 27 games.
The men easily won their game winning 6 sets, 54 games to Arkona’s 0 sets, 12 games.
The ladies on the other hand battled it out scrapping home a close win of 2 sets, 32 games to Arkona’s 2 sets, 22 games.
The overall score was Rainbow 5 match points, 11 sets, 124 games to Arkona 0 match
points, 4 sets, 61 games.
On Saturday Brim hosted Dimboola. The mixed showed competitive play throughout
with the away team bringing home the win, 3 sets, 34 games to Brim 2 sets, 31
games.
There was no stopping the Dimboola ladies as they dominated the ball, winning 4 sets, 43 games to Brim 2 sets, 31 games.
On the other hand, the Brim men came in firing and defeated their opponents, 3 sets, 34 games to Dimboola 1 set, 26 games. Some great tennis played.
The overall score was Dimboola 4 match points, 8 sets, 103 games to Brim 1 match point, 7 sets, 96 games.
Warrack hosted Hopetoun. Hopetoun had some fresh legs on court, welcoming back Jacob Holm, Spencer Williams and Janine Brown. The mixed showed incredible tennis skill and won their match 5 sets, 51 games to Warrack 1 set, 25 games.
The Hopetoun men were unstoppable winning 6 sets, 54 games to Warrack 0 sets, 23 games.
The Hopetoun ladies weren’t stopping there, as they defeated Warrack ladies 5 sets, 48 games to 1 set, 37 games.
The overall score was Hopetoun 5 match points, 16 sets, 153 games to Warrack 0 match points, 2 sets and 85 games.
The last match was Antwerp hosting Jeparit. Antwerp mixed had a smashing win over Jeparit and won 5 sets, 45 games to Jeparit 0 sets, 28 games.
The men followed on the winning streak, defeating Jeparit at 6 sets, 54 games to Jeparit 0 sets, 22 games.
The ladies carried it home with their final win for the day, 3 sets, 34 games to Jeparit
1 set, 22 games.
The overall score was Antwerp 5 match points, 14 sets, 133 games to Jeparit 0 match points, 1 set, 72 games.
