Dimboola Bowlers were triumphant last Saturday and Sunday as 60 bowlers converged on Horsham City Bowling Clubs greens for one of the best bowling tournaments in Regional Victoria.
In its 27th year, bowlers contested the prestige clubs Four Bowl Pairs Sets Play Tournament which had prize money of $3000 with the winning pair receiving $1200 and runner-ups $800.
Some of the best bowlers from Victoria and South Australia played in 5 Sections of Six teams to make the play off and finals.
After the play offs and finals, the winners were Dimboola Bowling Club team of Greg Cook (s) and Shannon Williams.
In an exciting final they defeated Rainbow Bowling Club bowler Greg Sleep (s) and Russell Miller from Warracknabeal in the final.
Horsham City Bowling Club President Colin Morrell said that it was great to see the greens full of bowlers over the two days and spectators witnessed exceptional bowling on the Horsham City synthetic greens.
