Ararat, who will travel to Horsham City Oval for the hitout, are fourth on the ladder, while the Demons are second.

The clubs met in round one back on April 12, and it resulted in an eight-goal win for the Horsham side.

Centre Jessica Taylor and goal defence Paige Biddle were brilliant for Ararat in that match, while the Demons' centre Jorja Jones and goal keeper Ebonie Salter were best on court for their side.

Coach of the Demons, Georgie Carberry, said she was hoping her side would be able to bank their eighth win on Saturday but admitted it wouldn't be an easy feat.

But she said if her side could keep on playing netball as they had over the last few weeks it would hold them in good stead.

"The last couple of weeks we have come together and started playing really well as a team," Carberry said.

"Playing for each other, that's our recipe, and that's our game plan for Saturday: go in hard and strong and keep playing for each other."

Carberry said Ararat was a side that was strong and she expected nothing less than a big challenge this Saturday.

"Every team this season has its strengths and I definitely think their performance will be strong," she said.

"I'm definitely not taking this game lightly."

Carberry has been impressed particularly with her defensive unit of late, and while she doesn't think there will be one area in particular where the game is lost or won on Saturday, she said if the Demons could play a good defensive game they would do okay.

Other games this Saturday include a battle between Stawell (eighth) and Thunder (fifth), Dimboola (third) playing Minyip Murtoa (ninth), and Nhill (seventh) lining up against the ladder leaders in Horsham Saints.

Results from round one when the teams last met were: Thunder 48 defeated Stawell 39, Minyip Murtoa were beaten by Dimboola 59 and Horsham Saints had a big win over Nhill 101 to 38.
