Deck your ears to the sound of Christmas as it is just around the corner
A mum's world: Christmas is fast approaching.

People were looking at me funny as I was bounding around the supermarket this morning.
Oh no, I thought, I shouldn't have come out without painting my eyebrows on first, I do look a bit weird without them.
Or maybe this skirt is too short. I haven't had my legs out since last summer and they could be provoking that shocked response I'm picking up from some people.
It's so tight too, I probably have visible panty line so no wonder people cannot help but stare.
I haven't combed my hair either, so that won't be helping.
I was in too much of a rush, I just twisted it around and clamped it to my head with one of those big claw clips, but I don't really know what I'm doing with these things, so it could be looking all wrong.
Or it could be that my shoes are a bit much - I got them up the street during the Black Friday sales and they are very fashion forward - maybe too forward for someone my age?
Hang on a minute, could it be that those other shoppers are actually just surprised by how much I am buying? I do have a very full bag of Christmas chocolates - and I mean, it's getting hard to carry it's so heavy.
Maybe they are judging me. Maybe they think I am panic shopping to deal with the distribution centre strike which is leading to so many empty shelves.
Surely not, I actually need all this chocolate people. I have the Chaplaincy Christmas Party at my house tonight, which is why I am rushing around like a crazy lady in the first place.
Wait a minute, could people be smiling because they heard me on the radio this week? I've been promoting the Horsham Carols by Candlelight. That's probably it.
They just heard me talking, so they are kind of saying, "hello" back to me. Stop right there Yolande. No one can see you on radio, nobody here knows who you are.
Bouncing back into the drivers' seat of my car, I caught my reflection in the rear-view mirror and laughed.
I am currently wearing the biggest Christmas earrings ever made and a double-sided Christmas T-shirt. Whoops, no wonder. Merry Christmas!
