Another beautiful Wednesday saw 15 women out on the golf course to participate in the prestigious Classic 4BBB Versus Par Closed Board event, sponsored by Vicki Hinkley.
The event was hotly contested, with Debb Barling and Marlene Pilmore winning at the end of the day, pipping Wendy Hewitt and Carolyn Morcom on a countback, both teams coming home with +5.
Consequently, Wendy and Carolyn were runners-up for the day with their +5.
Sue Krause won the Warrack Hot Bread 5th nearest the pin, whilst Maree Heenan took home the Power and Bennett 7th NTP.
Debby Barling played very well to win both the RNH 13th NTP andthe Sue Krause Third Shot on the 9th.
The Warracknabeal Dental Clinic Nine Out was won by Cindy Marsh and Beth Preston with +2 on a countback from Kaye Picken and Kerry Oulton.
The Shirley Liersch Nine In was won by Maree Heenan and Beth Preston, also with +2 on a three-way countback from Mary Barber and Julie Bayles, and Kaye Picken and Kerry Oulton once again.
Tomorrow will be the Foursome Stableford and the Doris Chambers Closed Event, so once again you will be required to organise your partners,if you haven’t already.
Office duty will be: Out - Mary Massey and partner, ln - Sue Krause and partner.
Last Saturday’s Women's Stableford event was won by Corinne Heintz with 35 points.
Allan Ross won the final spinning wheel for the time being, and Barb Bell was pleased to win the raffle sponsored by Vicki Hinkley this week.
