Davidson thrilled and honoured to lead Minyip Murtoa into 2025 WFNL season

Minyip Murtoa life member Kristy Davidson will have a new role for the upcoming WFNL season.
Davidson, will be the coach of the Burras' A Grade squad for 2025.
"I'm thrilled and honored to step into the A-grade coaching role. It's an exciting challenge, offering the chance to mentor and support both the young and seasoned players in our club," Davidson said.
"I look forward to embracing the ups and downs, with a strong focus on player development and celebrating the achievements that come with it."
Davidson, joined the Burras as a junior player and tallied about 180 senior matches on the court whilst balancing other coaching and club duties, but it will be the first time she steps into the top job.
"I've been lucky enough to coach every grade, from the Netta girls all the way up to the senior levels, and now I'm excited to take on the A Grade role for the first time," she said.
"Our family loves being a part of the Burras, it feels like an extended family, offering a true sense of belonging, an inclusive and fun environment to play sports, and wonderful people to be around."
Pre-season resumed for the club on January 20, and the club have tackled it head on according to Davidson.
There's a real sense of excitement and anticipation for the season ahead, Pre-season has kicked off strong, with great attendance and energy," she said.
"We have a fantastic group of girls eager to improve and build on last year's successes as a club."
The 2025 WFNL season shapes up to be a huge season for the club as they celebrate 30 seasons as a merged club, while the Burras will also field at least one female football team.
