Cub scout leader Jackie Cooksley "Possum" said sergeant Kylie Newell asked them back earlier in the year.

"They spent three weeks building their elves," she said.

Every Christmas decoration people see are the handy work of the cubs like the wreaths and angel.

"Aside from a couple of baubles," she said.

They even had a tour of the station and learning about everything such as collecting evidence and fingerprinting.

"The kids loved it and they're still talking about it," Ms Cooksley said.

"I'm very proud of them."

She said leading senior constable Shayne Riggall and senior constable Jazmin Zajac were "fantastic" with the cubs.

"They answered all their questions," she said.

Ms Cooksley said she is "very proud" of all her cubs.

"It's all about giving back to the community," she said.

"I'm sure they have all brought their parents to the station to have a look."
