Council releases community vision

Horsham Rural City Council has released the Draft Horsham South Structure Plan (Draft HSSP), outlining a comprehensive vision for the areas coordinated development.

The plan is the culmination of community feedback and technical analysis, aiming to guide future growth and development effectively.

Local residents will have the opportunity to have a say on the plan until December 13, 2024.

To ensure informed participation and transparency, Council is providing background reports and summaries detailing the development process of the Draft HSSP.

Additionally, responses to issues raised in previous submissions are being provided to submitters.

Structure plans like the Draft HSSP are essential for efficient planning for employment, infrastructure, open space and residential.

Residents can access detailed information about the Draft HSSP on the Council’s website, with engagement opportunities available, during the following times:

Haven Market: Meet Council representatives on Saturday, November 2, 2024. In-person meetings: Book a session with Council officers on Tuesdays or Thursdays during the consultation period. Appointments can be made via the website or by calling 03 5382 9777 or email strategic.planning@hrcc.vic.gov.au or Community drop-in sessions: Attend sessions at Haven Hall on Wednesday, November 20, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm or Friday, November 22, from 12pm to 2pm.

During the consultation period, feedback can be submitted directly through the form on the Council’s website or via email at strategic.planning@hrcc.vic.gov.au.
