Council celebrates Volunteers
THE Hindmarsh Shire Council celebrated National Volunteer Week with special community sessions in Jeparit and Rainbow on Wednesday, May 20.
Jeparit volunteers Wayne Werner, Pat Logan, Steve Commane, Anne Marie Werner, Craige Proctor, Natalia Aguirre, Teresa Smith, Debra Schumann, Wendy Werner and Robert Lewis at the Volunteers Week celebrations organised by the Hindmarsh Shire Council on Wednesday, May 20.
The sessions were held as part of the Council’s Cuppa Connections program, giving residents the chance to enjoy morning and afternoon tea while hearing from special guests about local volunteering opportunities.
The Jeparit session ran from 10am to noon, followed by the Rainbow session from 2-4pm.

Council said the events were an opportunity to thank volunteers for their contribution and encourage more people to get involved in supporting their communities.
A similar Cuppa Connections session was also held in Nhill on Thursday, May 21.
