With 60 stalls offering a diverse range of products, the market created a lively atmosphere, drawing in families and friends who enjoyed a vibrant day of browsing, shopping, entertainment, and community connection.

Haven market coordinator and manager Sue Exell expressed her delight at the strong turnout and the community’s support.

“We had an excellent night, hundreds of people attended it,” she said

“There were lots of young families from all over Wimmera."

“There were around 60 stalls and the owners had really vibrant business.”

Market organisers also acknowledged Don Papst and his band Key Change who have been playing for their market since June 2007.

“We had a special farewell for the band, who have voluntarily played for us for the last 17 years,” Ms Exell said.

“People were sitting, relaxing and listening to Don Papst who is in his 90's."

“We also had a little presentation for him.”

Organisers thanked the community and volunteers for the successful year and are already looking ahead to next year, with plans to bring even more excitement and variety to the popular gathering.

Haven Market will be back next year on February 1, 2025.
