Community BBQ brings locals together in Dimboola
Rural Financial Counselling Service Victoria West is inviting community members to come together for a relaxed evening of connection, conversation, and support at a community barbecue event in Dimboola, featuring special guest speaker Mary from Are You Bogged Mate?

Mary will share practical insights and support around mental health and well-being, with a focus on connection, understanding, and looking out for one another.
The informal event is designed to create a welcoming space for locals to enjoy a BBQ, have a chat, and strengthen community connections.
RFCS Victoria West CEO David Stafford said the event is about bringing people together after a challenging start to the year that has included fires, floods, and other disruptions across many communities.
"We acknowledge tough seasons and natural disasters can take a real toll - not just financially but emotionally too," Mr Stradford said.
"This night is about connection and checking in with each other and making it easy for people to access support when they need it.
"When communities come together, it strengthens resilience. We encourage people to comealong, bring a mate and be part of a great community night."
The community barbecue dinner and guest speaker will feature Mary from Are You Bogged Mate?
On Friday, February 20, 6pm-8:30pm at the Dimboola VRI Hall (Hindmarsh St, Dimboola) next to the train station.
