Communities show support for UN campaign
Communities around the Hindmarsh Shire banded together as they participated in Walk and Walk events to support United Nations '16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence' campaign.

In Dimboola, around 30 people and five dogs participated in the walk, that started at the Dimboola Library and finished at the Train Park.
Attendees were asked to wear orange to show their support for the cause and many honoured the request.
Event attendees were treated to a barbeque dinner after the walk, with those unable to participate in the walk joining the group afterwards.

Rainbow hosted the walk on Monday night, December 2, with Jeparit being the last town to host the event Tuesday night.
The international campaign takes place from November 25, until December 10, each year and aims to unite communities and call for the elimination of gendered violence.
