Horsham's Comfort Inn May Park is celebrating another year of recognition on Star Ratings Australia's gold list.

The award is based on guest ratings and marks the Comfort Inn's third straight year as a gold list achiever.

Comfort Inn May Park owner, Liz Dahlenburg said the award came out of left field.

"We don't solicit [these things]," she said.

"It was just a real shot in the arm, it's just a great credit to the whole team.

"We've been working for 11 years now on improving this business, and now we're getting to the recognition, and we have lots of wonderful guests coming back to us."

Not only has the Darlot Street motel received this recognition for the third consecutive year, but it is also the fourth time in five years it has been a gold list achiever.

"We're just feeling so elated," said Ms Dahlenburg.

"We're getting recognised for what we're putting in, and we obviously must be doing something right for out guests.

"Our guests are paramount and we provide the best service and property that we possibly can."

Ms Dahlenburg said it is her team's attention to detail that see's the Comfort Inn standout.

"We do little things, I hand make roses for the flowers on the beds," she said.

"We just provide the best service that we possibly can, we will put ourselves in the position of the guest [and ask] what would we want?"
