Coach expects challenge from Nhill
Coach of the Stawell seniors football side, James Sullivan, is expecting a big challenge from Nhill in this Saturday's Wimmera Football Netball League clash.
Nhill are currently fourth on the ladder, while Stawell are sixth.
"From all reports, Nhill are looking like they are right up there with the best this year, and looking at the results from last Saturday they probably didn't get the result they were hoping, so we're expecting them to bounce back," Sullivan said.
"We'll watch the footage from the game to see aspects of their game and how we can break that down to go across the highway and hopefully come home with the four points."
Sullivan said the contest would be lost or won in the middle.
"As I have said all along, our forward line is connecting well; if we get enough supply in there we're always confident of kicking a winning score," he said.
"There's obviously a lot to learn from the game we just played but I think if we can win the ball at the source and our midfielders can get on top, it'll put us in a good spot."
One of the forwards who is in great form for Stawell is Paul Summers, who is leading the goal kicking with 23 for the season.
Summers has been supported well by others in his team, including Charlie Gibson, Cody Driscoll, Josh Fowkes, Owen Summers, Sam Williams and Zachary Marrow, while Nhill have also had their fair share of in-form players so far, including Daniel Batson, Darcy Honeyman, Darcy Reid, Jobe Dickinson and Matt Kennedy.
