A Horsham school has received $3 million as part of the state government budget.
St Brigid's College received the money after submitting an application to the Capital Grants Committee, which is part of the government-funded Catholic Education Commission of Victoria.
The funding will go towards the refurbishment of student toilets, a new student lounge and cafe which will replace the school canteen, and a new home economics kitchen.
College principal Gerard Raven said the school was "quite excited" to have received the funding.
"On top of our $7 million STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) building we opened a couple of years ago, and the refurbishment of our northern wing, this will complete our refurbishment," he said.
"This will certainly ensure the school is very comfortable and a future-oriented school for the students.
"I think this will certainly provide us with the facilities that are state-of-the-art and will allow students to learn in a contemporary environment."
