Catering for anything community-related
AFTER more than a decade in the planning and development stages, the Dimboola Progress Association’s new catering facility has officially been completed, marking an important milestone for the local community.
A major finishing touch to the project was the installation of lockable roller shutters, providing both added security and practical windbreak protection for the facility.
The completed space is expected to become a valuable asset for community events and functions for years to come.
The Dimboola Progress Association has acknowledged the efforts of the many tradespeople, volunteers, supporters and businesses who contributed to bringing the project to life.
Special thanks were extended to Ross Johns, Adam King, Tim Miller and Nick Pietsch for their work on the build; Bruce Miller for the plumbing; West Vic Wholesales for supplying the benchtops; and Brad Miller for completing the electrical work.
The DPA also recognised the contribution of Absolute Curtain Co for measuring and installing the roller shutters, along with the many volunteers who have assisted since the project first commenced more than 10 years ago.
The catering facility was a DPA initiative made possible through support from the Dimboola Bendigo Community Bank, Hindmarsh Shire Council, community contributions and extensive fundraising efforts.
The facility will now be managed by the DPA and made available for community use and local functions.
Plans are also underway for an official opening celebration, with further details expected to be announced in the near future.
