Carts, cricket, concert and more to catch in Harrow on long weekend
THIS weekend will be big in Harrow with a number of cricket, community and performance events to enjoy.
Most events are on Sunday, but if you want a taste of fun on Saturday, you can watch the first day of the Harrow National Bush Billycart Champs.

On Sunday, there’s plenty more to watch or be part of all day, with the main event being the 31st Annual Johnny Mullagh Championship Cup at the Johnny Mullagh Oval down by the river, starting at 1pm.
Watch some entertaining cricket throughout the afternoon – the first championship match was contested back in 1995, where an all-Aboriginal team, ‘The Mullaghs’, were pitted against a non-Aboriginal team, ‘The Glenelgs’.
The game was established by two great mates, Gunditjamara man, Uncle Wayne ‘Swisha’ Bell and the local Harrow publican, John ‘Pop’ Gartlan.
The kids can be part of the Woolworths Cricket Blast at 9am, followed by the Junior Mullagh Cup at 9.30am.
There’s the GHCMA Electrofishing Display at 11am, the famous Harrow Duck Race at 2pm (remember to buy a duck), the Classic Catch Competition at 2.30pm, and the Mullagh Maximum Hit Competition at 4pm.
Wind up the day at the Hermitage Hotel with Steve Coghill on stage from 5pm for a free concert.
