Burras celebrate 30 seasons strong
This weekend we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the amalgamation of Minyip and Murtoa FNC, a milestone that promises to be an unforgettable day.
It will be a chance to reconnect with old friends, reflect on our club’s rich history and celebrate the many achievements we’ve accomplished along the way.
As we look back over the past 30 years, it's clear that our success has been not only on the field but also off the field.
We've continued to strengthen our club and give back to our community, growing and evolving as we look toward the future.
To commemorate this special occasion, our senior football team will proudly wear a unique jumper featuring the surnames of all senior football and netball players who have played over the past 30 years, along with a list of Burra premierships and the original logos of both the Murtoa FNC and Minyip FNC.
Similarly, our senior netball team’s uniforms will showcase the Burra premierships and the logos of our founding clubs, honouring our heritage.
Our opponents for the day will be Dimboola: the same team we faced in round one of 1995, making this match-up particularly fitting and exciting.
With 600 RSVPs from past players and members, the day will feature live music, fireworks, guest speakers and the auctioning of the commemorative jumpers.
Thank you to the 30th-anniversary subcommittee for their dedication and tireless work in bringing this special event to life.
