Ararat has earned its position at the head of the table, with five straight wins, while Minyip Murtoa is also travelling well, only dropping the one match this season.

It came at the hands of the Thunder in round four and was by 43 points.

Ararat has had options aplenty in the forward line this season, including Tom Williamson, with 22 goals for the season.

But the side might go into the game without Williamson, due to suspension.

The club was preparing to head to the tribunal on Thursday night, after the Mail-Times print deadline, to have the suspension overturned.

If they are not successful, their depth will mean they can turn to the likes of Jack Ganley, who has booted a respectable 16 goals this season.

Oscar Gawith has converted the most majors for Minyip Murtoa so far this season, with 10.

As mentioned, Ararat have depth, and it's not just in the forward line Baydn Cosgriff, Cody Lindsay and Brayden Draffin, have been brilliant for their side this season, and will likely lead them again in the contest Saturday.

And as for the Burras, they've also had their prominent players this season, with Kade Petering, Timothy Mackenzie and Timothy McIntyre, regularly featuring in the best on-field.
