PAST and present members of the local brigade gathered at the Dimboola's CFA headquarters to celebrate the official opening of the station with family, friends and community members.
Captain Ash Wallace said over 70 people gathered for the celebration on October 8, which was also an opportunity for the brigade to thank both their members and the community for their contributions towards the new station.
"Attendees were invited for a tour of the new facility which offers a major improvement in facilities and space for the brigade," Mr Wallace said.
"We were thrilled with the level of interest."
Dimboola Fire Brigade was first registered with CFA in 1892, and now boasts 41 volunteers and 30 operational members.
"The old Lloyd Street station had been in service for over 100 years," Mr Wallace said.
Following the opening and tour, guests enjoyed catching up over a sausage sizzle.
The occasion was preceded by an official opening on September 7, with Member for Western Victoria Jacinta Ermacora representing the Minister of Emergency Services Jaclyn Symes.
