Breakfast to bring legal sector together
The Legal Laneway Breakfast returns to regional Victoria in early 2026, with an event in Horsham bringing together legal professionals, sector leaders, and community organisations to reflect on the year ahead and strengthen connections across the justice system.
Following the success of previous regional gatherings, the Victoria Law Foundation is partnering once again with Allied Justice to host the annual events, now a fixture of the regional legal calendar.
Hosted at the Horsham Town Hall, the event will bring together the growing local legal community and the broader network of practitioners who support residents across the region.
MC Moga Ahmed will guide the event, which will feature reflections from Allied Justice CEO Narelle Laing and Patrick Smith of the Wimmera Law Association, who also serves on the Allied Justice Board.
Bridget McAloon, Principal Researcher at the Victoria Law Foundation, will deliver the keynote address, offering insights grounded in current research and community-focused legal needs.
Allied Justice chief executive Narelle Laing said the event reflects the organisation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening partnerships and improving access to justice across the Grampians region.
“Our legal community is at its best when we come together, share knowledge, and focus on the needs of those we serve,” Ms Laing said.
“These breakfasts are an opportunity to reflect on emerging challenges, celebrate the progress we’ve made, and continue working together towards a fairer, more accessible justice system.”
