Bottom sides go head to head
The bottom-placed sides will face off in round seven of the Wimmera Football Netball League this Saturday.
Although neither has won in season 2026 as yet, that will change for either Dimboola or Minyip Murtoa as one moves to 1-5 and the other remains searching for the elusive four points.
Dimboola's average loss this season has been 125 points, whereas Minyip Murtoa's has been just under 20 points.
The Burras' losses include two by just a couple of points: against the Demons in the first round and the Saints in the fifth round.
The game on Saturday will be played on Dimboola's home turf at the recreation reserve.
"We know the Burras play a contested brand of footy but they do like to get the footy on the outside, and they use their speed a lot," coach Andrew Moore said.
"That's something we're going to have to reduce in terms of how much they get that.
"We have a few guys coming in, which will help us in terms of how we play."
With a focus on how Dimboola played this Saturday, Moore said it was about how the side approached the game in regard to their intensity around the contest, along with their offensive ball movement.
"I want to continually concentrate on that," Moore said.
"Hopefully, it will be a competitive match, and we look forward to seeing how it unfolds."
