Bombers bag top two with strong victory against Pimpinio | HDFNL R18

The Noradjuha Quantong Bombers have finished their regular season in victory after defeating the Pimpinio Tigers 54-22 at Pimpinio Recreation Reserve on Saturday, August 17.
Pimpinio, who's season ended at this game's final whistle, fought hard but were no match for a Noradjuha Quantong squad hunting every goal to maximise its chances of a second-placed finish.
Bomber's A grade netball coach Fiona Rowe said her side is 'super excited' to take on finals after the 32-goal win.
"We're really looking forward to it," she said.
It was her player's connection between one another that really impressed Rowe in round 18.
"Connection is our key," she said.
"We're controlling that ball .. keeping possession was our goal today, and I felt like we did that.
"And, we really hustled and put lots of pressure on in defence, keeping their score quite low."

With no route to finals, Pimpinio took to the court with little to play for, but did so in strong spirits.
"They were having fun," said Rowe.
"That was their last game and you can tell they had lots of energy."
The Tigers closed the game out with a complete shuffle on court, which sent usual mid-courter Annie Felini to goal shooter.
There, she scored four goals from nine attempts, despite taking on much taller defenders.
Now, the Bombers turn their attention to finals, and while the side has earned the first week off, a date with the unbeaten Laharum has been set for the first semi final on Saturday, August 31.
"We'll recover, that's part of what we do," said Rowe.
"we'll look after our bodies and then we'll regroup during the week and get ourselves ready to go."
While Noradjuha Quantong clinched a top-two placing, Pimpinio fell agonisingly short.
Hosting Harrow Balmoral at Rupanyup Recreation Reserve, the Panthers claimed the win 66-30.
The Panthers dominated all four quarters of the game to claim the 36-goal win.
Rupanyup's Zanaiya Bergen shot 46 goals and was named in the Panthers best alongside defensive player Victoria Taylor.
The Swifts' narrow road to finals was finally shut as the side lost to Natimuk United in the final round of the season.
The contest was incredible tight, the Baggies trailed by only one goal at the first three intervals, before trailing by three at the game's end.
Natimuk United won 44-41.
And, both Kalkee and Laharum claimed momentum building wins as the two side's gear up for finals.
Despite the absence of coach Bec McIntyre, The Demons beat fellow top-six side Edenhope Apsley 75-20.
While Kalkee beat Taylors Lake 62-19.
