With beautiful weather on Wednesday, 16 women turned out for the Feet First Footwear July Monthly Medal and the Glenn Miller Painting Stableford events.

It was also the fourth round of the Silver Spoon.

There was no excuses for bad golf this week, as the course is in magnificent condition thanks to our greenskeeper Nigel Zanker and our very capable grounds manager Wayne George.

Wayne leads our great band of volunteers, who are always working hard out on the course.

Many players are commenting that they have never seen the course in better condition.

The winner of our July Monthly Medal was Beth Preston from Division 2 with 101-28-73 nett, on a countback from Wendy Hewitt (Division 1) 89–16–73 nett.

Wendy ended up winning the Division 1 section sponsored by The Rustic Jungle.

The Division 2 runner-up was Kerry Oulton with 106-30-76 nett, while the Division 1 runner-up was Marlene Pilmore with 93-18-75 nett.

Beth and Wendy were also the winner and runner-up of our Glenn Miller Painting Stableford event.

Beth won on a countback once again from Wendy, both with 35 Stableford points.

The fourth round of the Silver Spoon was won by Beth Preston with 73 nett.

Carolyn Morcom won the Warrack Hot Bread 5th nearest the pin, whilst Wendy Hewitt won the Power and Bennett 7th NTP, and Marlene Pilmore won the RNH 13th NTP.

Wendy Hewitt had a very consistent day out on the course to also win the Sue Krause Third Shot on the 9th.

In Division 1, the Kaye Picken putting was won by Wendy Hewitt with 30 putts, and Beth Preston took out the Division 2 section with 29 putts.

The Warracknabeal Dental Clinic Nine Out was won by Julie Bayles, who played a great nine and came home with 20 Stableford points.

The Shirley Liersch Nine In was won by Debby Barling with 16 points.

Next Wednesday will be the Classic 4BBB vs Par, so get your partners organised if you haven’t already.

Please bring a small plate of afternoon tea to share on the day.

Office duty will be: Out - Beth Preston and partner, ln - Carolyn Morcom and partner.

Last Saturday’s Women's Stableford event was won by Kaye Picken with 29 points.

Carolyn Morcom was very excited to win the spinning wheel this week, while Kerry Oulton won first prize in the raffle.

Our free Come and Try Days, which were cancelled, will be rescheduled at a later date when the weather is more reliable.
