Best youth council event-saved for last
Following a year of achievements and activities, the Hindmarsh Shire Youth Council has announced their end of year Luna Ball, to be held at the Nhill Memorial Community Centre on Friday November 29, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
‘Luna’ means ‘moon’ in Latin and youth councillors encourage attendees to dress up in their finest, with a box of chocolates being awarded to the person judges deem to be 'best dressed'.
This event is for young people aged 12 to 18 years with free food and refreshments available.
The Luna Ball will be supervised. There will be no pass-outs and it will be a drug, alcohol, smoke and vape free function.
Return buses with adult supervision from Rainbow, Dimboola, and Jeparit to Nhill will be provided on the night.
Registrations are essential and will need to be in by 5pm on November 27, to guarantee a seat on the bus.
“Come along for a fun night at the 2024 Luna Ball,” Hindmarsh Shire youth councillor Cooper said.
With Alissa, a fellow Youth Councillor, adding, “it will be a fun-filled end of year formal event," she said.
