Awesome Christmas display a family affair
Christmas is almost here and families around the region are well and truly getting into the spirit of the season.
For decades now, in fact ever since Clinton and Tennille Jonasson first had children, they have gone to huge lengths to get into that spirit., not only for their kids, but also the broader community to enjoy.
This year is no different as the Christmas display is now a family affair, now that Tennille and Clinton have children old enough to tip in and help, despite daughter Millie being somewhat incapacitated due to a broken ankle.
Their amazing efforts span the entire front of two house blocks at 8 Coral Avenue in Warracknabeal.
Kids and adults alike will look in awe at the expansive Christmas display, which according to the family, “just do it for the kids”, and of course young and old.
Every conceivable form of inflatable Christmas device, awesome lighting displays, Christmas music playing and laser display lighting cover the properties.
The family also run the display as a charity each year, this year the Brim Lions Club being the recipient, so don’t forget when you visit to prop a ‘few bob’ in the big red donation letter box for a good cause, which is clearly signposted.
-Don’t forget the current Warracknabeal Christmas lights competition run by the Warracknabeal Herald in conjunction with Warrack Home Hardware is currently underway, so get your entry coupon in today’s Herald in by Friday, as judging is to be held this weekend.
The judges have asked that all home and business displays be left on until at least 11 pm, so they can be photographed for consideration. For any sites around the region, these can also be included by emailing a photograph and details to news@wmnews.com.au
