Wimmera artist Mars Drum of Dimboola wants her young art students to know that, with art, no rules apply.
"This is unlike mathematics and other areas of learning where rules do apply," she told them before they viewed abstract art from the gallery's collection as part of a school holiday workshop.

Then, with the help of Ms Mars and gallery part-time education officer Cindy Francis, the students were free to create their own artworks - including on interior windows of the art gallery education room.
