Ararat on the road to face Thunder
The ladder leaders in Ararat will make the trip to Sir Robert Menzies Park to play Southern Mallee Thunder in round 14 of the Wimmera Football Netball League.
The last time the sides met was on May 17, with Ararat recording a 52-point win against the Thunder.
In that game, Ararat had nine different goal scorers, with Henry Shea making the biggest impact with three majors.
Angus McSweyn was the only multiple goal scorer for the Thunder.
James Hosking and Hugh Toner were the better players for Ararat while Billy Lloyd and Heath Smith were best on ground for the Thunder.
Ararat has two dangerous forwards at their disposal in Jack Ganley and Tom Williamson, who are second and third in the league's goal kicking, while the Thunder have more of an even spread of players capable of finding the big sticks, including the likes of Sam White, Brayden Ison and Kai Sheers.
While Ararat are coming off another win – this time against the Eagles last Saturday – the Thunder will be keen to attempt to bounce back after their loss, albeit narrowly, against Minyip Murtoa.
