Another curry night success
This year’s popular Warracknabeal Rotary Curry Night has raised $600 for the Rural Northwest Health Cancer Support Group, and a further $465 for the Warracknabeal branch of the Community Education Foundation.

The foundation assists local school leavers to enter a trade or tertiary education.
The event attracted over 70 people who enjoyed a variety of curries prepared by Noel and Laura Maslamoney, who own Namaskaar - a fully licensed Indian restaurant at the Dadswells Bridge Motel/Hotel.
Organised by Mr and Ms Maslamoney and Bernie O’Connor for the Warracknabeal Rotary Club, the sixth annual event was again hosted by the Warracknabeal Neighbourhood House as a generous public service.
Staff members prepared the usual inviting venue with eye-catching table settings utilising the colours of the Indian flag.
This year’s theme related to the Rural Northwest Health Cancer Improvement Project.
Mildura Base Hospital Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist David Yudkin fully maintained the interest of the audience with an excellent presentation that resulted in an extended question and answer session.
