Laharum Football Netball Club will begin the 2023 season and its centennial year with a new and cohesive management team.
The club has named Brian Burke as its president for 2023, with Bianca Mibus and Tim Nagorcka as vice-presidents.
Ever since his playing days in the 1980s, when he wasn't yet coaching the club's junior and senior football sides, Mr Burke has been connected to the Demons.
He also played in the club's 1987 football premiership side.
Mr Burke said he appreciated the enthusiasm and vitality of the club's younger generations who had recently assumed more responsibility within the organisation and added that it was his love of the club that had allowed him to accept his new role this season.
“With Bianca and Tim behind me, I hope I can take some heat off them so they can continue to rejuvenate the club and enjoy all the work they put in to make this club what it is,” he said.
“I want to keep the place moving with the post-COVID energy we all saw start to develop last season.”
