Adams dominating with bat in hand as HCA mid-season break nears completion
Horsham Tiger Angus Adams has scored 440 runs to date.
With the mid-season break just about finished for the Horsham Cricket Association, The Wimmera Mail-Times decided to see who has stood out in the first nine rounds.
At the break, West Wimmera sit atop the overall A Grade ladder with 42 points.
Competition newcomers Brim Kellalac Sheep Hills (39), defending premiers Homers (36) and Laharum (27) round out the top four.
Despite his side sitting towards the bottom of the overall ladder, Horsham Tigers' Angus Adams has been in sublime touch with the bat in hand.
Adams has compiled 440 runs with a high score of 76 in round two.
West Wimmera's Mitch Dahlenburg and Noradjuha Toolondo's Matt Combe round out the top three.
Dahlenburg has added 289 runs, Combe 282.
While Brad Alexander scored an impressive 122 (off 108) balls in round in round four, Laharum's Ben Peucker's boasts the highest score to date with 127 off 130 deliveries in round seven.
Combe has also dominated opening the bowling for the Bullants.
The right-arm quick has taken 21 wickets with his best figures of 4/29 off nine overs.
West Wimmera duo Nathan Alexander and Xavier Bone have 19 and 16 wickets respectively.
However, it is Laharum's Jackson Hoffmann who has the grade's best figures.
Hoffmann snared an economical 5/7 off nine overs in a round four victory against Colts.
The competition resumes on Saturday, January 18 with one-day matches.
