A spooky sight on Franklin Street

"I just love Halloween - anything horror, everything spooky," Ms Torney said.
"Halloween is the only day of the year I can express how I feel without being weird.
"It's like my Christmas."
Ms Torney lived in Warracknabeal until 2012 and returned to the district in 2020.
Since then, she has decorated her 4 Franklin St. house twice.
This year, after a month of preparation - putting her decorations out bit by bit, carefully constructing the scene, Ms Torney was planning to sit back and watch residents of the town enjoy the display.
She celebrated the occasion last night with family and friends (and her two black cats Bert and Ernie) at her Franklin Street property and late yesterday said she was expecting to give out close to 500 lollies to Trick or Treaters.
"I have a bedroom full of decorations for Halloween," she said.
"I do make a lot of the decorations, and I have pride in what I have."
Ms Torney's neighbour even contributes to her display, making something for her each year.
This year her creation sits proudly on Ms Torney's veranda - Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors.
"A Venus Fly Trap that basically eats anything and everything, but flies," Ms Torney explained.
Last night attendees also enjoyed an area decorated with about 50 spiders, where Ms Torney said children could sit on a couch underneath them and their webs.
Although the Halloween house brings Ms Torney lots of pleasure, it's also for a good cause - as she is collecting donations for the Make A Wish Foundation. A QR code is on the front wall of her home for anyone wishing to make a contribution the cause.
