A lot to give thanks for
Times have been tough; people haven’t been spending locally or perhaps elsewhere in light of uncertain times.
Long-life food, home baking and garden produce were shared as part of a service focused on thankfulness.

But with the better-than-expected harvest and all the good things we have, there is still a lot to be thankful for.
Each year, the Southern Mallee Co-Operative Church in Rainbow and Hopetoun recognises this with a Harvest Thanksgiving Festival.

Held in each town during February, long-life goods are brought as a gesture of thanks and then donated to the Horsham Christian Relief Centre.
Auction of fresh goods at Rainbow raised $450 from the fourteen people present; this will be forwarded as a thanks offering to an organisation working with people in need.
