2025 Australia Day awards nominations now open
Nominations are now open for the Hindmarsh Australia Day awards, recongising outstanding community service, during the year or over several years.
Nominations are now open for the Hindmarsh Australia Day awards, recongising outstanding community service, during the year or over several years.
Awards include 2025 Hindmarsh Shire Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Event of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Award.
This year saw 11-year-old Chelsea Elliott from Dimboola take home Young Citizen of the Year, with Wimmera Steampunk Festival receiving Community Event of the Year.
Citizen of the Year went to Rhys Webb from Nhill and the Lifetime Achievement Award went to John Deckert from Nhill.
Nomination forms are available on council's website or a hard copy can be collected from any Hindmarsh Shire Customer Service Centre and Library.
Nominations are set to close at 5pm on Monday, December 2.
